Export Management

This covers all the essential elements related to exports and imports of goods from / to India respectively. These are required to be well understood in order to avoid significant financial losses and to mitigate associated risks.

EM-01: Incoterms

This is a half day session where in the International Commercial terms used in Export Business normally is explained. Incoterms are very essential to be understood when any offer is done to exporters’ tenders wherein these terms have various implications, and tenders quotations have to cater for various contingencies.

EM-02: Letter of Credit (LCs) –  Creating flawless LCs for shipping exports

This is half day session- Nowadays, 98% of export business is carried through Letter of Credits(LC). There are many types of LC’s which should be known to get better terms from the customers. Not only this, any mistake in drafting or executing a LC will lead to huge delay in payments. This session will also teach the participants to draft a perfect LC and  be wary of the pitfalls that lie in a LC.

EM-03: Export Logistics by Sea and Air / EXIM concessions by Government

This is a half day session. In this session the participants will be made to understand that while exporting materials, machinery, garments etc. there is a stringent requirement of quality of packing, size, weight, width, height and length while exporting by containers by Sea, certain restricted size, shape, weight when exported by Air, or when on open decks of ships all weather proof packing will be required. In all cases anti- termite treatment confirming to ISO, DIN etc are required. This will be explained and necessary hand outs will be provided.
